Victory Monument, Bangkok, Thailand (SMSnotes)

Victory Monument is a military monument in Bangkok, Thailand. The monument was erected in June 1941 to commemorate the Thai victory in the Franco-Thai War.
Address: QG7Q+X87, ถนน พหลโยธิน, Thanon Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, กรุงเทพมหานคร 10400

The best way to see this monument is to exit the BTS at Victory Station and then use the high-level walkway. The walkway follows the curve of the roundabout under the BTS track so that you get good views around 180 degrees (half circle) of the monument. You can't enter the island where the monument is anyway so just stick to this walkway.

The monument itself is probably just worth a minute or so for a picture. It is best to view the monument from the skywalk. However, this is the main transport hub, especially for buses and vans where u can go further away from places such as the southern Bangkok Bus terminal.
