Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World is an aquarium in Bangkok, Thailand and is the largest in South East Asia. It covers approximately 10,000 square meters with hundreds of different species on display in exhibits totaling about 5,000,000 liters.
Large aquarium in SIAM Paragon, located below the food court. The aquarium is very clean and aquarium staffs are very friendly and welcoming. Visitors can ride glass boat. Tickets with activities also include 4D ride, popcorn and Madam Tussad. SEA Life housed various aquatic fauna and reptiles. It has marine conservation and in-house fish breeding program. Fun and educational visit, great for families with kids.
Situated at the Siam Paragon shopping mall in the heart of Bangkok.
It's a must visit for families with children. Children will be hooked throughout the tour. It might be a little disappointing for people who have been to a larger aquarium like the one in Sydney. However for people visiting such space for the first time will love the ambience. It gives a feeling as if they are in the deep blue ocean.
It takes around 3 hours to go around the entire aquarium.
Highlights of this place:
Opportunity to touch the starfish
Jellyfish display
Glass tank tunnel for children to pop their head up into the aquarium
Dive with the Sharks
Feeding the penguins
Please note that it is quite crowded on weekends. Would recommend buying online tickets they are cheaper and saves time. You have an option to club it with Madam Tussauds as well.
Must visit place in Bangkok. price is too high. it is definitely worth it. Despite it is an aquarium, there are some other species as well.
Definitely worth a visit. Very good for Children, they will enjoy a lot.
We were hesitant because of the entrance fee, but it's worth it. Plus it is downtown and conveniently located. The animals and tanks are well maintained. There is a lot of learning for kids. It is also a great way to cool down after exploring Bangkok. Expats, bring your work permit and have a reduced fee!
Good aquarium and have maintained fairly, good to take small children to view fishes. 4d cinema is also OK. Better to book ticket online. Would be good if they upgrde the facility to make it more attractive.
If you have visited this 2 years back then nothing much has changed in this place.
Even though the price may be quite pricey, it is definitely worth it. Despite it being mainly an aquarium, there were some species of amphibians, mammals, and birds such as penguins. Definitely worth a shot to come here as it is very enjoyable and educational for children too.
It is for sure nice for kids. We went with my boyfriend and it was still a nice experience, just not sure if worth the money. It was super crowded and it was hard to get a picture of the things you liked, especially in the tunnel and in front of the big 5 metre water tank.
Great to take the family and see some amazing sea life in their underwater habitats. The guided tour (available in English) was very educational. The underwater tunnel was fascinating. I was pleasantly surprised by the numerous sharks they have in the different aquariums.
Sea Life has been around for a while and gets its reputation for being one of the best Ocean World in South East Asia. With over thirtythousands sea life creatures and tones of activities to do.
The space is open daily from 10am til 8pm, be sure to check out their show activities (leaflets) at the entrance to see what time/space they offer.
There's also 4d cinema and boat ride activities too (theres additional cost to that though).
Staff there are all very friendly and attentive. Good to go early to avoid long queue.
Overall, an amazing trip and should take you 1.5-2hours to complete the journey. Recommend to kids as well. There's snacks and beverages served inside.
Amazingly built and well worth every penny spend. A very enjoyable and memorable visit.
Tickets can be purchased both online and right at the counter.
Very lovely place and has a very wide range of aquatic species at display in nicely set glass enclosures . Sea tunnel like good experience when one go down water level in the tunnel and see aquatic life all around . In nutshell liked it .
Recommend this aquarium for family trip. Plenty of fish and come with different languages of description. There is also fun area where you can touch some of them. It also had few big glass panel oversee most of the aquarium, giving the surreal view of any angle.
Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World has 400 aquatic species and 30,000 sea creatures on display. We will discover amazing ocean life through Shark Walk, colorful Coral Reef & Dancing fishes, Seahorse Kingdom, Rocky Shore of Penguins, and even a Shark Shipwreck!
Expensive, but worth a visit
Located in the basement of a huge shopping mall, the aquarium did not initially seem like a place worth visiting, but... first impression can be deceiving. Sea Life Bangkok is a wonderful aquarium to explore if you love marine life. The place is bigger than it looks and there's plenty of exotic creatures to see.
The staff are very friendly and helpful here. The facility is also very clean. It wasn't too busy when I went, so I could take my time. They have some classical music playing in the background of certain sections - it's very relaxing.
This is, hands down, one of the best aquariums I've ever been with. That said, the price was exaggerated, as a ticket cost more than an aquarium ticket in two of the most expensive cities in the world, Paris and Singapore, and I can't understand why it was so expensive compared to the rest of attraction prices in Bangkok.
As part of purchasing this overpriced ticket we were also forced to purchase a combo with Madame Tussaud's wax museum, which we didn't want and didn't enjoy, but still had to buy as the aquarium tickets are not sold by themselves for some reason.
If I could give more stars for this review, i surely would. Located at the base of the Siam Paragon Mall, near Siam BTS, this is one good place to enjoy the sea life at its best.
The exhibit contains numerous sea animals spread all over in the glass, starting from normal fishes, to seahorse, sharks, sawfish, stingrays, penguins and much more!
The best part of this exhibit is surely the glass tunnel where you can see the sea creatures above your head, and completely surrounded by the blue glow of the water.
It has an assortment of huge fishes that will leave you in awe.
The divers feeding the sea creatures are worthwhile to watch.
They provide a rock-bottom experience and allow you to touch the sea urchin and a starfish.
Really nice place to see sea life. There's information about each animal you see.
Remember to check the feeding times. It's really fascinating and interesting to see.
It's easier and faster if you buy tickets online.
SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World is located on Level B2 of Siam Paragon. The shopping center is located in the middle of Pathumwan area and can be accessible by BTS Siam Station. It is walkable from the sky train station.

Tourist shouldnt be worried about language barrier as pretty much all staff can speak english, and during the tour, the guide speaks in bilingual as well. There's also caption for you to read in English as well.
Amazingly built and well worth every penny spend. A very enjoyable and memorable visit.

SEA LIFE OCEAN WORLD Aquarium is good. We paid 580 baht per person for the admission. It's quite crowded even during the weekday. This is our 3rd visit in 8 years. Still feel that they may need some additions to make returned visitors more rewarding.
It's just awesome. You need 80-90 minutes to see completely. Aquariums are so clean and glasses are so clear. Very well maintained.
SeaLife was a highlight of my trip through Bangkok. This underwater world in the middle of a shopping centre was extremely exciting to see. I really enjoyed my time here and there were many sea creatures to see.
Nice place to see beautiful fishes, sea horses and sharks. A little expensive for foreigners (1300B). The place to walk under the sharks is much smaller than we expected. When we visited we got the combi ticket with Madamme Tussauds.
We had a good time in the aquarium and spent about 2 hours here. The aquarium are very clean and well maintained. It is very nice and calm inside.
A very therapeutic experience, spent 1.5 hours to complete the entire aquarium on a weekday afternoon. Glad it was not crowded & I didn’t have to queue for the jellyfish & shark egg experience.
Kinda pricey and it’s not as big as you’d think it is but overall a really good experience. Totally recommend the year pass if you think about coming here more than once a year (just visit twice and it’s already worth your pass). Some educational sign didn’t work when we were trying to read em. The lighting in a lot of the areas was beautiful.
Bring your children and come see the beautiful Sea Life. Located inside the Siam Paragon mall on the first floor. Watch them feed the sharks and sting rays.
Best experience in Bangkok so far. A must visit for both childrens and adults. We found this place unique and unreal. Ticket is on a higher side but worth the experience. I would recommend to buy it from Klook or any other online platform.
We try to make at least an annual visit to Sea Life. Nice break from other Bangkok activities. Ocean and fresh water exhibits are nice and well maintained. Public areas are clean. Only downside is trying to avoid school excursions where lots of noisy students crowding the exhibits.
Takes 3-4 hours to visit each section. One stop place to see sand tiger, black tip & leopards sharks, eagle & ribbontail rays, sea horse, starfish, penguins, corals & hundreds of other marine species.
The BEST aquarium I’ve ever been to. It was pricy for Thailand but worth it for the experience and quality of the exhibits. Seeing penguins so up close was a highlight for me.
One stop place to see sand tiger, black tip & leopards sharks, eagle & ribbontail rays, sea horse, starfish, penguins, corals & hundreds of other marine species. Fortunately they had installed penguin game at the end!
A well designed experience to gain knowledge about ocean life while being in a city. They also shared how the marine life there are treated and managed during a batch tour through sealife. Each species has relevant details shared including conservation status. It’s a good learning space for individuals, highschoolers and so on.
All animals are kept in great conditions and are well maintained. The personnel are friendly and the facility is kept clean. Beautiful glass ceiling aquarium with sharks.
It's just too expensive for what it's worth. Maybe if you can strike a better deal online...
The renovation has been finished and visitors can enjoy touching some sea creatures with more sophisticated facilities it is clean and it comes with good English-speaking stuff.
Conveniently located below the famous Siam Paragon mall. Suitable for kids, families or group of friends to visit. Decent variety of sealife to be amazed by.
