Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) วัดร่องขุ่น Chiang Rai Thailand (SMSnotes)

Must visit place in Thailand….!
Wat Rong Khun (White Temple) วัดร่องขุ่น Chiang Rai Thailand Wat Rong Khun, better known as the White Temple, is a privately owned art exhibit in the style of a Buddhist temple in Pa O Don Chai, Mueang District, Chiang Rai Province, Thailand. It is owned by Chalermchai Kositpipat, who designed, constructed, and opened it to visitors in 1997.
Very beautiful for eyes., its the extreme skills of architecture. The engineer still alive. There is many things to see inside and out side of the temple . Inside there is a statue of a saint its look like original.
The temple look more beautiful while the sunset time , the sunlight reflects and will glow.
About the history, There were a old temple and this architecture renovated with his own money . And still the works going on.
For getting the bright color its made with glasses and special plaster. So it can be protected from the sun light and rain .

There's no doubt that this temple is certainly beautiful, interesting, and one of the most unique temples we have visited in Thailand, but it still does not justify the dual pricing!!
100b for foreigners and free for Thsis, you don't see any other countries giving different prices for different nationalities, blatantly ripping off tourists!! It's not the price; it's the principle of the dual pricing that really is unfair.
Anyway, architecturally, it is very pleasing on the eye, pure white all around, which is unusual from the normal gold temples.
No photos are allowed inside the temple.
Quite quiet to visit now with not many tourists.
Overall, it is a very beautiful temple and very unique, but I'm sticking to my poor scores for the ripping off of tourists, which you are not forced to pay and in all honesty the beautiful photos are taken from outside where you don't have to pay!....

Incredible. The 100THB entrance fee is well worth it. The grounds are extensive and social media fans will have a field day despite several no photo zones. Expect to spend at least 90 minutes here. Note to self.. sunglasses required.. the white and mirror tiles are very reflective..
As far as the artistry and craftsmanship goes.. this temple has it all.. including some tongue in cheek pop culture references to help bestow lessons in virtue and sacred duty to family. Pick a clear day, the temple offers several outdoor photo spots. Also great to see several tourists here on a Saturday. Thumbs up!.

One of the most exquisite pieces of architecture I’ve ever seen. It is truly incredible, like a shimmering, glittering white castle in the sun. It’s a measly 100 baht to enter the chapel. This is a must-see landmark in Thailand. A remarkable experience for anyone of any age. This is the kind of temple monks take selfies at. Do yourself a favor and get to the White Temple!

It is one of the beautiful temple of Thailand. Purely white in colour with glasses engraved. Architecture have so much detailing and is picture perfect.
The paintings inside temple walls are amazing.
It has so many amazing artefacts.
There are three golden washrooms which are made wholly of gold theme.

The white temple is an absolute highlight in the area. The entrance fee is 100 baht - about 2.90 € - cheap. Thais pay nothing. After the entrance, you follow the path through the temple. Unfortunately, not everything is accessible and photography is not allowed inside the temple. After the visit, the path automatically leads to the courtyard. Here, apart from sanitary facilities, there is also a small art gallery with beautiful paintings. Small fountains are also installed. Everything - including the greenery - fits perfectly into the picture. You can see various fish in the water, which also arrive quite quickly.
